Livio Bollani

Livio Bollani graduated composition at the Milano Conservatory under Sonia Bo and Giuseppe
Colardo and violin at the Piacenza Conservatoire under Giovanni Gorgni.
Besides that he studied accordion and law at the Pavia University.
His compositions, published by Berben, e-crea and Tetracordo, were performed in prestigious concert halls
all over the world, such as Teatro Municipale di Piacenza, Auditorium Paganini di Parma, “Columbia
University” – New York, “Arizona State University” – Kent, Conservatory of Palermo, “Di Nuovo Musica” –
Reggio Emilia Festival, Beirut American University, Spazio Rotative – Piacenza, Teatro Sociale di Stradella,
Accademia Tadini – Lovere (Bergamo), Teatro Grandinetti – Lamezia Terme, Teatro Rendano – Cosenza,
Tunisie, Auckland (New Zealand) etc. Among the performers of his pieces there are prestigious musicians
and orchestras, such as Sergej Krylov, Toscanini Philharmonic Orchestra, “M. Jora” Philharmonic Orchestra,
Orchestra Filarmonica della Calabria, Ruben Micieli and many others.
He writes articles and reviews and he is regularly invited to take part in music competitions as a jury
member.
Consultant of the “Tetracordo” Association and director of its music schools, Livio Bollani has founded the
Val Tidone International Music Competitions, the Val Tidone Summer Camp, the Val Tidone Festival, the
Festival “Up-to-Penice” and the Festival “Viaggi”, of which he is the Artistic Director.
In July, 2008 he has been named Artistic Director of the Foundation “Val Tidone Musica”. In January, 2017,
he has been named Director of the “Accademia del Ridotto”
Livio Bollani teaches Harmony, Analisys and Composition at the “P.I. Tchaikovsky” Conservatory in Nocera
Terinese (CZ) and at the Accademia del Ridotto.
